Designed for modified Honda K-Series engines with increased airflow requirements, the Skunk2 Pro Series Throttle Body is an excellent upgrade for naturally aspirated and forced-induction performance builds.
Skunk2 specifically designed these throttle bodies around Honda K20A, K20A2, K20A3 and K20Z1 engines, with direct compatibility for PRB/PRC-style throttle-body applications. Later K-Series engines and certain K24 applications may require the correct throttle-body adapter or compatible intake manifold.
Whether you’re building a responsive naturally aspirated K20, a high-flow K-Series track car, or a turbocharged/supercharged Honda engine, the larger Skunk2 throttle body helps remove an airflow restriction between the intake system and intake manifold.

Why Upgrade to a Larger Throttle Body?
As engine performance is increased through modifications such as intake manifolds, performance camshafts, cylinder-head work, exhaust upgrades, forced induction and ECU tuning, the engine’s airflow requirement increases.
A larger-bore throttle body can help support the additional airflow required by a modified engine. Skunk2 specifically states that its larger Pro Series throttle bodies are designed for modified engines with increased airflow requirements across the powerband.

Skunk2 specifically identifies the 2002–2005 Honda Civic Si and 2002–2006 Acura RSX Base / Type-S chassis as applications for these throttle bodies.
Honda also confirms that the 2002 Civic Si used the 2.0-litre K20A3, while the K20A2 was used in the original RSX Type-S.
Vehicle Fitment
Direct-fit applications include Honda Civic Type R EP3 and Honda Integra Type R DC5 models using compatible K20A/K20A2 PRB/PRC-style cable-operated throttle systems.

Which Size Should I Choose?
Choose 70mm if:
You have a moderately modified K-Series engine, performance street car or naturally aspirated build and want increased airflow while retaining a relatively moderate throttle-body diameter.
Choose 74mm if:
You have a more heavily modified engine, high-flow intake manifold, high-performance naturally aspirated build or forced-induction setup requiring greater airflow capacity.
The rest of the intake system should be appropriately matched to the selected throttle-body diameter. ECU calibration may also be required depending on the engine specification and modifications.
