Product Overview
The EBC Brakes Brake Line Set BLA1017-4L is a premium replacement kit designed specifically for the MINI R50 and R53 models, including Cooper and Cooper S variants. Manufactured in the UK, this brake line set offers enhanced brake feel and durability over standard rubber hoses.
This brake line set consists of high-quality stainless steel braided hoses engineered to replace the original equipment on MINI R50 and R53 chassis. The braided construction provides a robust protective layer over the internal hose, preventing expansion under pressure and delivering consistent hydraulic brake performance. The lines follow the exact routing of the original hoses, ensuring a direct fit without modifications.
Performance & Benefits of the EBC Brakes Brake Line Set
The stainless braided design of the EBC Brakes Brake Line Set improves pedal feel by reducing hose expansion during braking, resulting in a firmer and more responsive brake action. Each line undergoes individual pressure testing to guarantee leak-free operation and long-term reliability. Manufactured under strict quality control in a UK factory, these brake lines meet T cV, DOT, ADR, and ISO certifications. The stainless steel outer braid also offers superior resistance to abrasion and corrosion compared to rubber hoses, extending service life.
Application & Installation of the EBC Brakes Brake Line Set
This EBC Brakes Brake Line Set is confirmed compatible with MINI Mini Hatch 1st Gen R50 and R53 models, including the One D 1.4 turbo diesel and Cooper S 1.6 supercharged petrol engines from 2001 to 2008. The kit includes four hoses covering both front and rear axles. Installation is straightforward due to identical dimensions and routing to original hoses, but professional fitting is recommended to ensure correct brake system bleeding and safety compliance.
